Pavarotti lookilikes John Rhys-Davies

The late great Pavarotti looks like John Rhys-Davies. I knew that Rhys-Davies was in Indiana Jones, James Bond and the American T.V series ‘Sliders’. However I didn’t know that he was ‘Gimli’ in Lord of the Rings. I suppose you learn something new every day.

I first heard of Pavarotti during the Football World Cup of 1990 in Italy (Italia 90). Pavarotti rendition of Nessun Dorma was the BBC theme tune for the tounament and the mix of football and music was perfect.
